The battlements Levanto's battlements are mostly well preserved and date back to 1265. Later on had been remade several times, the most important of it dates back to the middle of XVI century. Along the perimeter there were the doors to get into the village (afterwards demolished) today you can only see the door to Fossato or dell'Acqua, to Prealba. In the highest part of them there is the clock tower. The way from this tower to Da Passano palace has been recently restored.
